Dam to Bay on the Apalachicola River
May 14-19, 2017
Five days of Paddling/5 nights camping

Join us and spend five days paddling down the Apalachicola River!

Our trip will begin at the Chattahoochee Dam and follow the Apalachicola River for 108 miles and end at the mouth of the river in Apalachicola. Our journey begins in Gadsden County in Chattahoochee. Paddlers will check in between 1-5PM on Sunday May 14th as we gather for the kick-off dinner and orientation for the paddling adventure to come. The River Jam will commence Monday morning at sunrise as we launch from Chattahoochee RV Campground & Resort.
Each night throughout the week we'll camp along the river’s edge as we paddle along the Apalachicola River through Calhoun, Gulf and Franklin Counties.
The trip will conclude on Friday May 19th at Battery Park in Apalachicola at the opening festivities of the Forgotten Coast Paddle Jam 2017

Well... Interested?
One factor to be aware of, this is a primitive wilderness remote trip. As such, we'll have limited access to portable bathroom facilities & hot showers. Depending on river levels, most camping will be on primitive riverside sandbars.

If you have any questions about the environment you will encounter on this trip, please contact the FC Paddle Club fcpaddleclub@gmail.com for details.

Need an Outfitter? Paddlers who need to rent a kayak or SUP and related gear may contact out partnering outfitter, Journey's of SGI ask for Dayle or Justin.
